Comix Rock: Art & Music Showcase
Much news to report. What you see on the left is a poster I designed for a show I’m helping to organize. What kind of show? Well, this show celebrates the release of a comic anthology my comic artists’ group (Indy Webcomics Group) has put together. It also launches the first night my group of artists has their work on display at the Local’s Only Art & Music Pub. The artwork will stay up through May.
We’ve teamed up with the Creme De Les Femmes burlesque troupe to bring Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School to the party. This Dr. Sketchy’s will be super hero themed with the girls is costumes and capes. Prizes will be donated by Hero House Comics. And all attendees will receive free goody bags courtesy of Hero House. I’m also helping to create a mini-comic featuring the Femmes models as their superhero characters. Each page will be illustrated by a different IWG artist. The mini comic will also include a pinup of each girl as their character.
And last but not least, 3 local and very awesome bands will finish off the evening for us. The Dirty Thirty, Beta Male and Destination: Earth! That’s a lot of awesome packed into a $6 cover. It’s going to be an awesome night.

Hey, I should probably just e-mail you to ask this, but as part of the ‘debut’ of my new webcomic, I wanted to a character montage to turn into a promotional print. I knows you’se a bizzy man now, mistar Cherolis, but I think it’d be rad if you’d maybe do your own version of my new main character?
